This script is a great utility for getting your web site a little extra promotion. Visitors are given the opportunity to send the url of the page they are visiting to a friend simply by entering the E-mail address of their friend. When they submit, the follow-up page informs them that their message has been sent, and the address that it has been sent to. Then they can either send it to another address, or return to the page they were visiting by using the link that is generated.

MasterRecommend is an easy to install, easy to maintain CGI program for your visitors to recommend your website to their friends or associates. It is coded to minimize intentional and unintentional misuse, including spamming/blasting. The outgoing emails are formatted via simple templates kept in a separate file for quick and easy changes. Optional fields are a text area for personal messages from your visitor to the person whom your website is being recommended to and a checkbox for your visitor to request a copy of the mail being sent to her/his friend or associate. MasterRecommend also does a rudimentary check for obscenity and possibly offensive slurs and refuses to mail such to any but the webpage maintainer.
