This is a very simple download manager for your web site. It allows you to place your download stuff all in one directory, and then tell the users to register before they can download scripts. As a bonus, the script captures their name and email address and appends them to a mailing list. As another bonus, this script checks to ensure the user has entered a valid (or at least a good fake) email address, and checks that address against your mailing list file. If the email address is already there, the script doesn't capture it. This helps you avoid duplicates.

Download-A-File is a file downloading utility written in Perl. The program allows site owners to prompt their visitors to sign in prior to making any file downloads from their site. The script logs all sign-ins into a text file which the site owner can view using an accompanying script. This feature helps the site owner keep track of which file is being downloaded the most.
